About the Role:
Palatka Housing Authority is looking for a compassionate and organized Resident Relations Intake specialist to join our team in Palatka, FL. In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for residents, helping connect them with the resources and support they need. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary intake contact for residents seeking assistance, information, or services
- Collect, document, and process resident inquiries, complaints, and service requests accurately
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of resident concerns
- Maintain detailed resident records and case files in compliance with housing authority policies
- Conduct follow-up communications with residents to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution
- Assist residents in navigating available housing programs, benefits, and community resources
- Support lease compliance efforts by identifying and escalating resident relations issues as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in social services or related field preferred
- Prior experience in customer service, case management, or public housing administration
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a resident-first mindset
- Proficiency in data entry and records management software
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
- Knowledge of HUD regulations and affordable housing programs is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply

Compensation: $34,300.00 - $37,500.00 per year
About Us
Palatka Housing Authority (PHA) is committed to working with its families to build better families and communities. PHA serves the cities of Crescent City, East Palatka, Interlachen, Palatka, Pomona Park, San Mateo, Satsuma, and Welaka. Housing is provided through the Public Housing Program and Housing Choice Vouchers Program. PHA manages 422 Public Housing units and manages 402 vouchers.
